Dwyane Wade can call himself a man of many talents. Especially when you look at all that he achieved on the court, his businesses, and the recent Oscar nomination. However, there is one thing that the Miami Heat legend can’t do and that is singing. Good thing for him, his family has a budding musician at the moment.
During his recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Wade talked about his poor vocal skills and refused to take any credit for the talents that his 5-year-old daughter Kaavia was born with.
Clarkson asked the 3x NBA champion if there was anything he was interested in while growing up but just wasn’t good at. The NBA veteran wasted no time in admitting that he doesn’t know a thing about singing. He said, “Singing. Yeah, every day…terrible at it.” When the host complimented his daughter for being a good singer, Wade said, “Not from me…that’s mami.” Clarkson had to be talking about Kaavia because her parents often post videos of her taking control in her hands in the Wade household, be it getting everyone in line with a choreographed set of dancing and singing, or just her singing for her mother.

Dwyane Wade’s daughter choreographs a set for her parents
The NBA veteran posted a clip on his Instagram yesterday where three members of the Wade household were performing to Tyla’s smash hit Water. Wade unveiled that this special request came in from Kaavia along with a properly choreographed set for them to groove along. D Wade and Kaavia were joined by Gabrielle Union in the clip. The NBA veteran wrote, “Here’s one min of a Friday night at The Wades directed by Kaavia. She designed the looks, picked all the songs, instructed us to do solo performances as well as groups. Happy Saturday good people! Oh btw, this is her new favorite song she calls sweat”.

Kaavia and her shenanigans in her house know no bounds. The 5-year-old likes bossing around her home and anyone, including her mother Gabrielle Union, is eligible to catch a stray. And she recently did. Union wrote, “Caught a stray and landed in my feelings 😩… then she asked for her masters,” along with a clip of Kaavia breaking down the meaning behind an alleged mean song that fans believed was directed toward Union.
