Why would Kawhi Leonard disappear from the public eye after his retirement? While many have begun to debate whether the Los Angeles Clippers star will leave his current Costa Rican peace to join the NBA chaos in the 2024-2025 season, former NBA player Brandon Jennings has already made a claim on his retirement. What is it?
During the discussion of Leonard’s return to the NBA after his injuries, Jennings claimed that the star would probably completely disappear from the spotlight if he were to retire. “When he’s done playing we’re never going to see Kawai never when he’s done we never going to see him,” Jennings said on the Gils’ Arena podcast.
The reason? Gilbert Arenas seemed to understand Jennings’ comment and agreed that, given Leonard’s personality which is a bit reclusive, it could be possible. Josiah Johnson, the co-host of the show, joked that if Leonard ever started a podcast, there would be only silence. Fans know Leonard as the most serious and focused player, with a bit of a mysterious personality.

Some praised how the basketball star appeared like a local, while others argued heartily over how unrecognizable he looked during his birthday vacation. The player simply enjoyed the solitude and peace. While there are various perceptions of Leonard’s personality, Patrick Beverley also revealed his observations.
He shared that Leonard is quite a jokester and talks a lot with people he knows and trusts. “He doesn’t like to talk much ’cause people are gonna, you know, if he was a type to say a lot of words, people will be like, any little thing he says will make it really big, so he chooses not to talk. That motherf—er does talk. Talks a little too much too, so…” Beverley said on his podcast.
