This child star from Tennessee was on The All-New Mickey Mouse Club with Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. In 1995, he established himself as a teen idol when he joined the boy band NSYNC. As a part of NSYNC, Justin Timberlake rose to fame. Since then, he has gone on to become a Grammy-winning solo artist and actor. Michael Jordan, the basketball star, was his hero and idol when he was a kid.

Recently, in an interview with Complex, Justin Timberlake revealed Michael Jordan was a hero to him, and he had pictures of him all over his house. Even though Timberlake couldn’t get those sneakers in Tennessee, he still looked up to Jordan.

To achieve his Jordan wish, Justin Timberlake once began cutting grass for $10.

Justin Timberlake claimed, “I have posters of MJ on my walls growing up in Tennessee. And not having access to sneakers as much as you know a huge metropolitan area. I would have to say find a way to save up okay to go to Foot Locker to wait in line. I used to every year I would I started cutting grass okay. On my street with everybody. So I could try to you know save money up 10 bucks a lawn. I would try to save up and save up to go wait in line at Foot Locker. And I’ll never forget when the black and around Olive nines maybe. When they came out like we all wanted those so good such an underrated pair.”

There is a vulnerable side to Justin Timberlake that admits: “My idol when I was growing up was Michael Jordan the basketball player because of his work ethic rather than his talent and because of what he went through to be as good as he was.”
