The Boston Celtics have a historic list of forwards who led their franchise to greatness. Kevin McHale, Larry Bird, and Kevin Garnett, amongst others, have etched their name in Beantown history. Currently, they also have Jayson Tatum, who already has gold in his resume, but it’s still being written. However, his son feels his dad has some flaws and shared it with KG. The entire interaction will leave you in splits.

The 2004 MVP shared the clip of the interaction on his Instagram with his 1 million followers. He added the caption, “Deuce Wild  🤪for that 😂💯🫡 ” and appreciated the father-son duo. “Shout to deuce n JT.” The said interaction was during the All-Star weekend. In the video, KG met with Jayson Tatum and his son and started the conversation by showcasing his competitive side to the young kid. “I can get a bucket on you right now, Deuce, What’s up?” But even he did not expect the answer to that.

My daddy couldn’t do any of those dunks.” Deuce Tatum spoke with the Big Ticket and left him perplexed. The Celtics legend was so surprised that he repeated the statement and asked the 7-year-old, “He couldn’t do any of those dunks?” The answer was a simple and emphatic “No“. Hearing this, Jayson Tatum chimed in, “Why you hating?” Despite the son’s trolling, the 6x All-Star wanted the moment for Deuce.

The interaction with the legends means a lot to the young Tatum. Even Jayson Tatum has been receiving support from others, especially KG. The Celtics legend has voiced support not only for Tatum but also for his running mate, Jaylen Brown. However, once Tatum spoke on the comparisons with the Big Ticket.

Jayson Tatum on not wanting to be like Kevin Garnett

Two phenomenal power forwards wearing the Celtics colors- it’s hard not to draw parallels, right? However, Jayson Tatum feels there is no basis for this claim. “I’m never going to be Kevin Garnett. As much as people want me to be, that’s not who I am. The way I lead, the public may not ever see what I do.” The current superstar felt his personality was reserved, quiet, and laid back. Unlike Kevin Garnett’s intensity.

Because of this personality, the 27-year-old sometimes doesn’t get the credit for being the face of the league. Recently, Colin Cowherd felt the Celtics star lacked traits to be the next face of the league. “You can close your eyes and there’s images with stars. Close your eyes now and do it with Tatum. I don’t see anything! 26 a night. I don’t see anything.” But Tatum did not pay heed to any such statement and continued to perform on the hardwood.

Against the Cavaliers, the Boston forward became the first player in the play-by-play era to record a historic stat line in the first half. He scored 30 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists in the first half. Kevin Garnett was quick to share love for the Celtics superstar. “Mannnnnnnnn… the boy JT ain’t playing no games tonight 😤😤🫡💯. STATEMENT GAME.🫡💯.” Even Magic Johnson and other legends celebrated the feat.
