Jamal Crawford Unveils Cryptic Culture’s Secrets Empowering Future NBA Superstars Including Orlando Phenomenon

AAU basketball is one of the reputed tournaments in America, which has sent many young talents to the NBA. One such was Jamal Crawford, who represented the Seattle Rotary program before he entered into the league. While this side of AAU must be appreciated, it’s subjective. Not all programs or teams have this positive side. AAU basketball has been criticized time and again. 

However, the Seattle Rotary is not something like it. Crawford, who sat for a podcast episode, shared the good side of the Seattle program which he is currently coaching. This AAU team has produced several NBA veterans and the latest was Paolo Banchero. 

Jamal Crawford shares why the Seattle program of AAU is a standalone 

Paolo Banchero lived a few minutes away from the Seattle Rotary and he believes that is a place that will forever remain in his heart. Banchero was a No. 1 pick for the Orlando Magic and is already in the talks for MVP this season. Making it to the NBA is not everyone’s cup of tea. Even if you have the talent for it, without proper guidance, nothing would be possible. 

The Seattle team has picked up talents and developed them for several years now. But what about the athletes who do not make it to the NBA? Well, this is the point that differentiates the rotary team and the other AAU programs. 

Crawford shared, “There’s some parts of AAU, like we know this, is not really cool. There’s some parts that are not bad, it actually makes it better. And so rotary program…they started it. And I actually played for them. The way they do it is… it’s not like just a normal AAU program, it’s family. And that’s what separates.”

Crawford also added, “All the parents trust them because they are gonna give them great guidance. Everybody can’t make it to the NBA and they do a lot of stuff off the court”.

 According to the 3-time 6MOTY, this AAU team also puts the non-NBA players in a good position. 

NBA athletes who started their journey at the Seattle Rotary

In 2022 alone, 9 players from this team played for the NBA. Some of the famous athletes are Kevin Porter Jr., Jalen McDaniels, and Jaden McDaniels. Zach LaVine, Chicago Bulls, and Dejounte Murray, Atlanta Hawks from the Seattle AAU made it to the All-Star team in 2022 as well.

In addition to the above achievements, Paolo Banchero and Marjon Beauchamp were selected in the first round. Banchero shared, “They could wipe my memory and I wouldn’t forget Rotary”. The Seattle Rotary is indeed a family.
