The Michigan Wolverines and Ohio State Buckeyes rivalry is the stuff of legends. According to USA Today Sports, the two sides have played each other 120 times since their first matchup in 1897. The recent matchup, however, turned a bit ugly after the Wolverines defeated Ohio State 13-10 on Saturday. And the reaction from former Wolverines star Jalen Rose did not come as peacemaker in the situation.

Rose has been a key figure in the history of Wolverines. He along with Ray Jackson, Juwan Howard, Jimmy King and Chris Webber formed the Michigan’s famous Fab 5. Having played 3 seasons for the team, the Wolverines blood still runs deep within the ex-NBA star. No wonder he chanted — “Hail to the victors,” — a line from Michigan’s fight song, while further poking fun at Ohio State.

This loss for the Buckeyes came as a major blow to their Big Ten title chances and hopes of a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff. The game itself was a heart-stopper. With just 45 seconds left, Michigan’s Dominic Zvada nailed a 21-yard field goal to seal the deal. Ohio State, with no timeouts and everything on the line, couldn’t recover. But what happened next was straight out of a rivalry movie script.
