17-year-old Kiyan Anthony continues to make his parents proud. Carmelo Anthony‘s son always has keen eyes closely watching his game. It would be fair to say that he has not disappointed or given anyone a chance to criticize him. After dropping a stellar 40-point performance, the 17-year-old continued his dominance in the Peach Invitational. His power display not only enthralled the fans but also attracted the attendance of 2x NBA All-Star Ja Morant.
Kiyan scored 26 points, shooting 8-for-12 from the field, including 2 three-pointers, and had 6 assists leading his father’s Team Melo to an 85-68 win over NW Rotary Rebels. He chose a great day for such a complete performance as the Memphis Grizzlies star graced the gym with his presence.

Proud of her son’s achievements, La La Anthony shared a couple of posts on her Instagram Story and wrote, “@kiyananthony going crazzzyyyyy.” Not just Morant, but Kiyan’s consistently great performances have impressed other NBA veterans as well, including Kendrick Perkins.
This year will be super hectic for the 17-year-old. The No. 38 National prospect promised to reveal his top five College choices after the Peach Invitational. What’s interesting is that Kiyan has also received an offer from his father’s alma mater.
Can Kiyan Anthony help Syracuse recreate history?
The New York Knicks legend’s history with Syracuse is well-known to fans. He was crucial in leading the team to win the NCAA Championship in 2003. Looks like Syracuse wishes to recreate the history and clinch another title. To that end, the team offered Kiyan a spot not because of his father, but because of the insane level of power and talent he will bring.
The 17-year-old is aware of this and has expressed how the familiar culture in Syracuse has captured his attention. While he admits that Syracuse wishes to acquire him for his talents, Kiyan also believes that he will be able to achieve the goals the team has in mind.
“I like the family environment. The coaches, I feel like they’re recruiting me for myself, and not just because of my father. That’s what I like. I just feel like they’re rebuilding, and they’re looking to get a winning team. I feel like I can help them do that if I was to go there,” Kiyan said in a conversation with Zagsvlog.
