Adam Silver had to apologize for the uncertain future, “I will say directly from me (to) the people that seem to be most impacted right now — the folks at Turner Sports — I apologize that this has been a prolonged process.” With Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith already working outside the show, fans are wondering if it is truly the end. Even current TNT analyst and former NBA veteran Reggie Miller thinks it could be the end of an era.
The former Indiana Pacers teammates got together and spoke about the importance of the ‘Inside the NBA’. And if 5x All-Star could provide any inside scoop. In a recent appearance, Reggie Miller said, via The Mark Jackson Show, “I wish I could give more inside scoop but we don’t know anything just as much as the Regular Joe on the street.” He even explained his emotion not only with the show but with the Turner network as well.
“I played 18 years professionally for the Pacers and right now this past year was my 18th year at Turner. So for 36 years, I’ve only known two things, yeah the Pacers and TNT and Turner.” Miller also thinks fans would be devastated if the show goes away.

Further, Miller also mentioned that NBA media rights might allegedly fall into the hands of NBC and Amazon Prime. There are rumors of the NBA accepting a new 11-year media deal rights worth $76 billion, which is approximately a 2.6x increase from its previous deal with Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery.
With negotiations reaching their final stretch, Reggie Miller isn’t happy with the silent treatment from the executives at TNT. “I hope this is not I hope it’s not the end but it’s been too quiet.” But he is hopeful that the negotiations will become successful.

First of all, Reggie Miller gave a shout-out to Ernie Johnson and other staff for being the baseline for the show. Recalling his time at the beginning of his new stint with TNT, he was with the crew for 2 weeks on the show every month for 4 to 5 years. He even described the show to be unscripted, unlike some others.
“But those guys what you see is what you get. Ernie is the only one because he has to be a traffic cop so he kind of knows what’s coming down the pipe. But Shaq, Charles, Kenny what I mean he’s (Johnson) just throwing lobs and they’re finishing them.” Miller appreciated the honest feedback that the show provides for the fans and the players.
The commentator said, “Charles, Shaq, and Kenny they tell the truth. Now you might not like how they go about telling you the truth, but they’re telling you the truth.” Barkley recently appeared on ESPN’s NHL show providing his expertise on the hockey side of things. Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith were also present on NBA TV for pregame and postgame analysis of the NBA finals.
