Gilbert Arenas is a Washington Wizards legend. After retiring from the NBA in 2012, he is successfully running his hit podcast show called “The No Chill Podcast”. His recent criticism of 53-year-old ex-Lakers drew the NBA community’s attention as the former NBA stars publicly went back-and-forth.
Dodging Gilbert Arenas’ recent “Smelly Afro” criticism, 53-year-old ex-Lakers talks about other uncalled-for off-court beefs that he experienced in his NBA career.

After the co-host of “Big Shot Bob Pod With Robert Horry” asked the 7x NBA champion about his other uncalled-for off-court rivalries, Horry mentioned two other instances.
He said, “It was kind of hard to respond to criticism back in the day. I’ve had only two players say anything about in the newspaper. One has passed on, so I won’t talk about him. The other one was Danny Ferry when he was with the Spurs. He mentioned how he would take me out of the game because I agitate him.“.

The co-host goes on to say how, because there was no social media back in the day, the NBA beef was a lot more formal. He said, “If you wanted to say something about another player, you would have to wait till it got published in the newspaper. And then? respond in Sports Illustrated a month later. Now, you’re in their Instagram comments, it’s over.“.
But how did the beef between Gilbert Arenas and Robert Horry start?
The Beef between Gilbert Arenas and Robert Horry
It all started when Gilbert Arenas had mentioned in his podcast that he would rather have James Harden’s “ring-less” career worth $300 million over ex-Lakers star Robert Horry’s seven NBA championship rings. Robert Horry called Arenas an idiot who is mad at the world. He also claimed that he doesn?t really care what Gilbert says because America is a free country, and Arenas is entitled to his opinion.

However, in another podcast “The No Chill Podcast” episode, Gilbert Arenas replied, “300 million can get me to do other things, them seven rings just sitting somewhere behind Bob with the smelly afro“. Horry ignored Gilbert Arenas’ uncalled-for criticism as he discussed about other such instances in his NBA career.
Popularly known as “Big Shot Bob”, Robert Horry was an underrated clutch shooter. His performances in the play-offs added a competitive edge to the teams he was a part of. Irrespective of people’s opinions, the 7x NBA champion managed to pave his own path, with regard to, cementing his NBA legacy.
