Kevin Garnett was one of the most tenacious players in the NBA. Apart from his infamous trash-talking skills, he was also the kind of player who poured his efforts onto both ends of the court. He was the leader of the iconic Boston Celtics team which won the NBA Championship in 2008, a title Boston hadn?t won for 22 years before that.

In a recent interview, the NBA Hall of Famer elaborates on an interesting question about considering an alternate career.

In a recent podcast episode of ?SHOWTIME Basketball?, Shilo Sanders, Colorado Buffaloes? football star and Deion Sanders? son, asks Kevin Garnett, ?So if you coached college today, what do you think it?ll be like??. The Boston Celtics legend responds, ?This is a funny conversation?I am all out. You know how it goes, it’s kill or be killed. There wasn?t no grey area. If a guy was ?killing? you, he?s trying to step on you??.

He further explains, ?At the end of the day, you want to win right? I want to win. So you?re going at a tenacity. I’m used to going at a certain tenacity, working out, playing one-on-one, caring, passion, having my teammate?s back, communication.?

The 9x NBA All-Star explains that he will not be able to give his hundred percent to something if the others don?t care. He states, ?The kids’ efforts these days ain?t up to par with what I?d like to see. Because game speed is game speed and game speed ain?t cool…there ain?t nothing cool about the game.? Kevin Garnett seems extremely passionate about what he puts his time and efforts into. As a decorated NBA veteran, Kevin Garnett explains that his passion for the game and the need ?to win? won?t gel well with today?s generation of players.
