Gabrielle Union is known in the basketball world as the partner of the Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade. But Union herself happens to be an established actor in Hollywood. She was seen in several projects over the past many years. Recently she opened up about her dire need of telling the stories of times when she had to overcome hardships she faced in her life.

Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade got hitched in 2014 and they share a daughter together. The couple are outspoken supporters of LGBTQ rights in the USA. Gabrielle Union is not the one who ever backs down from taking a strong stand on controversial matters. It can be made out from her recent interview that Union is a born storyteller as she elaborated on her need to convey stories.

Gabrielle Union sat down with the Washington Post to have a conversation about her life and projects that she had taken on in the past. She had a rather interesting revelation on her dire need to express the challenges she faces in her life in the form of stories.

Union said, “And for me, not sharing it isn’t an option for my soul. I only speak on what I’m comfortable speaking on, but I’m so much more comfortable with the truth. The truth just is, there’s nothing to be afraid of.”

Union elaborates her dire desire to share certain aspects of her life with her audience. She wants to open up to the world about getting to the other side of pretty much anything and everything.

Union revealed in the conversation that she came to the realization that she had no fear of anything in her life. One has to admire Union’s ability to express herself unapologetically.

Gabrielle Union reflects on her deep wound

Gabrielle Union recently talked about how she brought the character she was playing to life. In the movie The Inspection she was playing the role of a mother who kicks out her son when she finds out that he’s gay.

Union said, “She was full of rage, and she couldn’t direct it at the institution because she had dug in, so she directed it at her child because she got sold a bill of goods.” She added, “Oh, you found the wound. Welcome. And then it started to fester and grow like a f—–g cancer.”
