It’s not been the best start to the new year for Isiah Thomas. While most began their year with a bang, Thomas had to resort to X (formerly Twitter) complaints. Primed to make an appearance on NBA TV, the Detroit Pistons legend could not make it to the show. However, it wasn’t Isiah’s fault in the least. Instead, the blame falls on a $25 billion company.
As the 2x NBA Champion would explain, it was a regular day, and he was taking a flight from White Plains, New York. However, HPN wasn’t kind to Zeke. Hence, one of the original point guards took to X to voice his complaint.
I experienced a level of incompetence and disrespect @Delta #HPN airport today on my way to work. To all my fans who were looking forward to seeing me on @NBATV tonight you can blame @Delta for not letting me on the flight which I had a paid ticket and seat assignment. Happy 2024

As a result, Thomas had to miss the show. While fans had some fun with the Hall of Famer with an array of Michael Jordan memes, the overall feeling was one of concern. But, with the picture unclear, there were some natural doubts. Delta, on their part, was quick to address the issue.

Soon after, Thomas had one last tweet to put out. Replying to the courteous and prompt response from Delta on his original tweet, the former 1990 Finals MVP reminded them of his complaint. “Please read my complaint filed @Delta thank you.”
