There is so much history between Isiah Thomas and the city of Chicago. While the most relevant lore is the rivalry he had with the Chicago Bulls and mainly with Michael Jordan, Thomas is still a Chicago-born legend. Over the years, he has had a lot to say regarding Jordan and the Bulls, but recently the NBA legend made a major admission.
During a recent interview, the 2x NBA champion listed out the players from Chicago who have impressed him the most. He talked about one in particular who can be placed alongside Patrick Beverley and Tony Allen. In addition to that, he also revealed his unfulfilled Chicago dream.

Zeke is one of the most revered athletes to have ever played the game. He led the Bad Boys Pistons to their glory during the late 80s. So for any athlete to receive praise from the legend, it must be a lifetime achievement. Additionally, Thomas is not big on making frequent public appearances and talking about things. He rarely shares his wisdom and opinion, and the recent moment was all dedicated to the 28-year-old Bulls star player.
Recently, Jevon Carter received a heap of praise from Thomas who said that the 28-year-old is at par with the likes of Beverley and Allen. He said, “When you talk about west-side guards, the first thing that comes to mind is defense”. Thomas said that Carter possesses the same qualities as a guard that Beverley, Allen, and he did. The Detroit Pistons legend said that he is extremely happy for Carter as he gets to play “for the home team.”
