Iowa’s Caitlin Clark Honors Kobe Bryant & Daughter Gigi’s Energy Ahead of a Possible Historic Night

According to Fan Nation kicks Caitlin Clark has worn Kobe Bryant’s signature Nike all season, specifically Kobe 5s and Kobe 6s. However, when the NCAA Tournament started, Clark switched to the Nike Kobe 5 Protro in the “Bruce Lee” colorway. The limited-edition shoes were sold at retail for $180 but now go for as high as $800, depending on condition.

The black and yellow motif on the shoe is taken from the famous jumpsuit Lee wore in “Game of Death,” while the red marks are  used as a reference to the marks on Lee’s face in the climactic fight scene  during “Enter the Dragon.” The shoes are called “Mambacity Sweet 16,” and have a snakeskin pattern and custom shoelaces. It also bears Kobe’s and Gigi’s names and Gigi’s jersey number 2. For the special game, Caitlin Clark chose to wear Kobe 6s for the special occasion.
