Dwyane Wade is in China promoting his latest venture Wade Basketball Academy. This collaboration of D-Wade is in partnership with Chris Johnson.

The 3X NBA Champion is expanding his portfolio by providing his expertise to young dreamers. Because of his already well-established partnership with Li-Ning, it made sense to launch the first academy in China. While the camp was on, it seemed Wade was having fun.

Wade is still too quick to handle

During the camp, Wade is seen playing around with local players. On his Instagram story, he jokingly said “I’m Old but He Challenged Me”. He seems to have dribbled away with a lot of ease and passed the ball to his son. Zaire is also part of the core team who is helping Wade to set up the academy.

 

It is not the only business venture the father-son duo is doing together. With D-Wade as your father, strong business acumen must be part of the genes.

Zaire Wade partnered with wellness company Thorne

Zaire Wade in his first professional season played for Salt Lake City Stars. During his first season at the NBA G League, because of an injury he was out for the season. Zaire talks about how he was already asking his father how they both could be part of brands. He spoke to Fox News Digital about this new venture. “We always used to talk about how the future could hold us partnering up (on) something that would be beneficial to both of us. (Especially partnering on) something that we could use in our daily routines and our daily lives.”

Zaire continues on how his father was first on board with Thorne. Later when he got the opportunity to be a part of it with his dad, it was a very easy decision. Also, he shares how it was great for him to get to work with his dad for the first time. “(Dwyane Wade) was already on the Thorne family first. And once I was introduced to it, (there) was already kind of a natural connection there because I was already starting to look into it in my senior year. Once we saw there was an opportunity for both of us to partner with them … it was a no-brainer. It’s great to see how (my dad) approaches and takes business on. It was great, it was my first time doing something like this.”
