Dwyane Wade counted down to the big 22 of his eldest child, Zaire Wade. He showed off their festivities in style on social media too. On the last day of his 21st year, the family had a party for D-Wade’s “Prince.” The proud dad shared a glimpse of it on his Instagram stories.

Taking to his Instagram, Wade wrote, “Big 22… we love you Zaire,” on a post where Zaire is expressing his heartfelt feelings about having a dad like the 3x NBA champion. “I tend to look at the future…” said Zaire, who was born on February 4, 2002. “You guys all keep in the present and keeping what we are today as a family. So I know I wouldn’t be here without none of you guys,” he said.

Dwyane got a special mention in this speech. “Well Pops, I love you man. I appreciate everything you do for me, I love you to death. You ain’t know what it is.” We don’t know if Dwyane managed to keep a dry eye after that, but it wouldn’t have been easy. Dwayne Wade has been a huge supporter of his son. Last year he cheered for Zaire as he made his comeback from injury at the Basketball Africa League Combine in Paris.

The whole family got together for Zaire. Dwyane Wade also shared a glimpse of who was gathered at the party and explained, “Celebrating the prince @zaire 22 tomorrow.” He showed Zaire dancing with his sister, Zaya, at the party.

His wife, Gabrielle Union, also shared a special message for her eldest stepson. “Happy birthday Zaire, love you kiddo.” Dwyane’s sneaker brand, Way of Wade, which Zaire is signed to, also wished him his 22nd birthday. He acknowledged it by reposting it on his stories. Dwyane Wade is known to pull out all the stops for the special occasions of his children. Last year, he took Xavier to a Lakers game at the Crypto.Com Arena to celebrate his 10th birthday.

The occasion got even more special when Xavier got up close and personal with NBA icon LeBron James and posed for a photo with him.  But right now the attention is on his elder brother Zaire.

Wade fam comes together for Zaire

The birthday boy for his part was channeling Dwyane+Gab with style. He and his girlfriend, Lola Ann Clark, did the party fit checks on his Instagram stories, making quite the head-turning pair. The actress was a scene-stealer in a silver number but Zaire’s luxurious accessories stole the show.

One of the sweetest messages he received is from Dahveon, his cousin whom Dwyane raised alongside Zaire. Sharing a throwback of both of them as kids – dripping rizz like a pair of pint-sized hip-hop moguls – Dahveon wrote, “more lyfe my brotha love man Yk we comin. [sic]”

He got a lot more wishes from Dwyane’s siblings as well as his cousins. We’re now looking forward to what year 22 has in store for Zaire.
