Kiyan Anthony shocked the NBA buffs with an unexpected reply when asked who would win a 2v2 battle between him and his father vs LeBron James and Bronny. Without any hesitation, Kiyan sided with the Los Angeles Lakers teammates, only because the King was still in the league. That hurt the feelings of Carmelo Anthony. For someone who used to be a killer on the court back then, Anthony does not want his son to give up on him easily. On his latest podcast episode with Jayson Tatum, the 10x All-Star shared his real thoughts about Kiyan’s reply, after sharing a tweet about it a few days back.

Kiyan has very little hope for his dad and himself, when it is a battle against James and Bronny. The 17-year-old shared, I think Bron and Bronny will win, to be honest just because Bron is still in the league. Come on Kiyan, Melo retired just a year ago! He’s still doing what he doing. But it’ll be a close game. I feel like it’ll be an 11-8.” He was ready with the scores too

Melo found a video of the above interview on X, to which he replied, I’m going to remember this“, tagging his son. The New York Knicks icon wanted to address it further. In the latest episode of his podcast 7 PM in Brooklyn, the host asked Jayson Tatum if Kiyan gave the right answer. The Boston Celtics superstar shared, I thought he was like trolling. He don’t really think that. He knows he think they’ll win.”

Anthony hilariously chimed in, I hope he don’t think that s***. I gotta have a conversation after this,Son, sit down man.” The only way that the 40-year-old can prove his son wrong is by defeating the father-son duo of the LA Lakers.

Carmelo Anthony admits Kiyan keeps him going, despite the youngster siding with LeBron James

Kiyan was probably pulling Anthony’s leg with a statement like that. As Tatum mentioned above, the 17-year-old is probably joking. Anthony is not the one to accept defeat easily. He is still a monster on the post. Though his son does not side with him, he still believes the youngster keeps him going.
