You know it’s bad when Charles Barkley can’t contain his disappointment over a certain team. Amid a heartwarming interaction on The Steam Room, Chuck vented his frustration about two teams on a downward trajectory. That’s probably why he recommended adding a segment to spread more good vibes.

2 Eastern Conference teams in particular need a lot of that positivity right now. Barkley and fans have been watching their struggles between their fingers. Still, Chuck’s feelings are surfacing in unexpected moments.

Ernie Johnson and Charles Barkley were close to ending this week’s edition of The Steam Room?with something positive. But Chuck couldn’t end it without getting some pent-up feelings out about two teams – the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons.

Initially, he declared, “The Chicago Bulls suck,” after the caller brought up the All-Star weekend in Chicago. Johnson agreed “it’s a struggle right now”?for the team.

Charles Barkley couldn’t decide who was in a more miserable position than the Bulls. “Let me tell you something, but I don’t know who’s worse – them [Bulls] or the Pistons.”?He’d go on to diss them outright with, “The Bulls and the Pistons?flat out stink.

Barkley and Johnson weren’t making it up. The Bulls haven’t cracked the rotation formula yet to fix their offensive struggles. It showed in the 116-102 loss to Oklahoma City Thunder, a team that’s on a winning streak.

The most recent analysis on the odds showed that the Bulls are averaging the worst first-quarter scoring with 24.7 in the league. There’s also mounting speculation that Zach LaVine could be traded to a new team.

The Pistons have no relative saving grace either. They’re on a 12-game losing streak, most recently against the Denver Nuggets. They’re mathematically eliminated from the in-season tournament, had a winless month, and are on track to have the worst season in NBA history.

The teams are infuriating Barkley so much, he desperately wanted Ernie to take the fan’s suggestion for a positive segment. Hopefully ending The Steam Room?on a heartwarming note every week will fix Chuck’s mood. Because he’s not letting the disappointment over the Bulls and Pistons go.

Usually the losing team isn’t discussed much on?Inside the NBA, but?The Round Mound of Rebound?couldn’t let go of this one. The Pistons were cause for his irritation this time.

“Isiah Thomas and Joe Dumars are rolling over in their grave watching the Pistons play,” Barkley said surprising the?Inside Guys?and viewers. He said both on?Inside the NBA?and on?the?Steam Room?that the Pistons are on a “13” game losing streak.

Thomas and Dumars are, of course, alive and well. Though they haven’t said how they feel about their old team’s 12-game losing streak. Barkley played in prime ‘Bad Boy Pistons’ era and brawled with them. He wants the same energy in the team so bad he’s messing up facts.
