The 2008 Boston Celtics were not the most-liked team in the NBA back in the early 2010s. All the hate mostly came because of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, who were famous for their controversial trash talk and a bit of a cocky attitude. Former Miami Heat star Udonis Haslem was one of those who couldn’t tolerate the Celtics back then. Looks like they are a trouble for him even now.

In his recent podcast episode with Bam Adebayo, Haslem revealed, “To this day… y’all know how I feel when I play against the Celtics. I can’t stand them motherf******… I like Tatum, I like Brown, but the old motherf****** KG and Paul, I don’t f*** with y’all.” Well, it did not stop here. There was an open threat as well.

Haslem continued, If I see y’all in the grocery store it’s on… I don’t care what aisle it is, let it be 7/11… around the cheese dip, all of it’s getting flipped over”. Looks like the 3-time champion is locked in for some grocery store battle with KG and Paul Pierce!

Udonis Haslem shuts down Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett’s Miami Heat trash talk

Like mentioned before, even after retirement, Haslem couldn’t tolerate the Celtics duo. Back in the 2022-23 season, KG and Pierce believed the Miami Heat’s “window’s closed” after they started the season on a poor note. They also criticized Adebayo and Jimmy Butler for not taking any leadership. However, tt was just six games into the season. Haslem did not like this prediction from the 2008 champion and he decided to talk back through an Instagram story.

Haslem shared on his Instagram, “No matter what you say, it won’t change the a** whooping y’all took back in the day!!! I know a lot about windows closing, cause we slammed y’all s*** and locked y’all suckas out forever!!!” Haslem shared a hashtag, “6 games in y’all already heating”.

Surprisingly, the Heat beat all the odds last season and even made it all the way to the NBA Finals. Haslem not only shut their mouth, but the Heat did too later in the end. But what’s to be noted is the long-lasting rivalry between Haslem and the former Celtics duo.
