Kobe Bryant’s widow, Vanessa, shared a series of photos on her Instagram handle. They featured her either locking an arm with Kobe or landing a kiss on his cheek. From Hollywood actresses like Zoe Saldana and Kerry Washington to influencers like Kris Jenner and Khloe Kardashian, everyone took to the comments section to share their thoughts on the heartwarming post. Kobe’s daughter, Natalia, shared a childhood picture of her alongside the legend, while his sister shared a series of pictures to highlight their universal bond.

The Lakers and Nike celebrate Kobe Bryant in their own way
August 24 is celebrated as ‘Kobe Bryant Day’ every year in the Los Angeles and Orange County area. Many organizations are using the day to pay tribute to the person who dominated the basketball court for more than 20 years. As part of the celebrations, the Santa Monica Pier is expected to light up its Ferris wheel in the Lakers colors of purple and gold.

The official handle of the Los Angeles Lakers highlighted their tribute to the iconic player. In collaboration with ‘UCLA Health’ and the ‘Mamba and Mambacita Sports Foundation’, the NBA team provided special care packages to babies who were born this week. Spectrum Sportsnet, the broadcasting channel for Kobe’s team, will air a throwback episode that highlights some of Bryant’s best moments.
Wednesday also marked the day that Nike relaunched the shoe line that bore the name of the Black Mamba. The sports apparel company had initially dissolved its relationship with Kobe due to some issues. To mark the legend’s birthday, Nike launched the ‘Kobe 8 Halo’ and brought back the iconic ‘Kobe 8’ line, 11 years after its introduction.
