The festive season has always given us some of the best kicks. This year, Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant‘s sneakers have become the talk of the town with some new colorways. The impact of the Kobes is already seen and now the Philadelphia 76ers mascot decided to honor the 5x NBA champion. Sweet love from the hometown is always a sight to watch, although this was pretty unexpected.

Bryant’s collaboration with Nike has produced some of the best shoes. After it was stopped for a few years, the Black Mamba‘s wife Vanessa Bryant brought the kicks back into the market. And now they’re taking over.

The Philadelphia 76ers mascot is back with a Kobe Bryant tribute

One of the most iconic shoes ever produced by Nike was the Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’. The sneakers were first released on Christmas 2010. 13 years later, they still have a place in the market. Surprised by the success it got, Nike decided to improve their creative side and dropped another edition of The ‘Grinch’. 

Also known as the ‘Reverse Grinch’ now, the red-dashing shoes are in heavy demand at the moment. The Kobes also feature the ‘Mamba’ skin to honor the Lakers legend’s famous nickname. On this festive release, the Philadelphia 76er mascot, ‘Franklin the Dog’, decided to honor the legend from their hometown. 

For the 76ers game against the Detroit Pistons today, Franklin the dog was seen wearing the Kobe 6 ‘Reverse Grinch’. Well, the Sixers mascot was not the only one who honored Bryant this season. This holiday-themed sneaker was previously worn by Luka Doncic, Tyrese Haliburton, and a few more NBA stars.

Cam Thomas from the Brooklyn Nets, who was on a scoring spree before his injury, wore the Kobe 6s as well. All these have only promoted the brand over the last few months, and fans are now all set to buy them on December 15.

Nike brings back all of Kobe Bryant’s best Christmas sneakers

Apart from the ‘Reverse Grinch’, Nike will also be re-releasing the Kobe 9 Elite ‘Christmas’. The high-ankle, all-red kicks were released back in 2014. The ‘Grinch’ will also be seen in the market again on December 16. However, all eyes are on ‘Reverse Grinch’, which will be sold for $190 on the Nike website.

 ‘Complex Sneakers’ released a picture of the shoes that will be released this Christmas. The Nike Kobe 12 A.D, Nike Kobe 4 ‘Undefeated, and the Kobe 6 ‘Supreme Rice’ were a few shoes that were featured.
