NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal has been retired from professional basketball for over 12 years now. But of course, the spotlight still continues to follow him. He does, after all, boast an incredible list of business interests, as well as an entertaining habit of engaging in playful antics. Whether it’s with long-time friends or colleagues like the Chuckster, Shaq enjoys a good prank. On some rare occasions, the Big Diesel himself has even been the one ‘pranked’ and not the ‘pranker’.
The former recently became a trending highlight after many celebrities, including Shaq’s 26-year-old son, used the big man’s stature to his disadvantage in a hilarious manner. The ‘prank’ took place prior to an event in which the father-son duo set the stage on fire.

O’Neal boasts a height of 6’11”, something that was actually uncertain for a while. Nonetheless, Shaq still remains a towering man. While many people can do nothing but admire his stature from afar, renowned DJ Steve Aoki is not one of them.
In a video posted on Instagram by the Big Diesel, fans can see Aoki running up behind the former player, jumping up, and smacking Shaq behind his head. Needless to say, the move left the former player bewildered.

And thus began a challenge for other people to take part in. Shaq’s millionaire stepson Myles himself joined in on the challenge. Saying, “I’m about to smack the shit out of my dad,” to the camera, the 26-year-old imitated Aoki by running up behind his father, taking a leap, and using his hand to smack Shaq’s head from behind.

As onlookers laughed, the former Los Angeles Lakers legend once again turned towards the camera, looking dazed. Shaq wrote in the comments section of his own video, “do your kids beat you up too #? @mylesoneal.”
But the father-son duo shares a lovely bond that fans enjoy witnessing. Though Myles’ siblings have followed in their iconic baller dad’s footsteps, Myles himself has had Shaq’s Big Diesel alter ego mentor him for a career in music. Once all the smacking was done and over with, it was time to proceed to the main event.
Shaq and Myles bring out the fun at a music festival
Both Shaq and Myles arrived as performers for the 2023 edition of Tomorrowland, an immensely popular annual electronic music festival held in Belgium. Shaq’s presence at the festival was first confirmed back in January this year, and he arrived for the same a few days after heading to Paris to perform at Lollapalooza.
Myles O’Neal shared a video on his Instagram story. It featured the father-son duo on stage, vibing with the extremely large crowd as the remixed version of a popular Wocka Flocka tune played. Shaq remixing Hard in Da Paint was a truly iconic moment, the title alluding to the big man’s own legacy after all.
26-year-old millionaire Myles hasn’t shown much interest in basketball, unlike Shaq’s two other children, but he has followed in his father’s footsteps to pursue a career in music. Prior to performing at Tomorrowland, Myles accompanied his father to perform at a UFC after-party held in celebration of Alexander Volkanovski. Whenever the father and son team up, they have seemed to serve a damn good time.
