During the exciting conversation, he spoke about the impact Jordan had in the 90s: a tidal wave that changed the entire scene of the basketball game and the NBA. While he sent ripples through the business realm after his playing days, Jordan was dominating the league in his basketball career. Speaking of the legend, Haslem said, “No disrespect Lebron and all those guys love those guys but MJ is my goat if you grew up in that era that f*****g (theme) when you hear that for the first time in person that s**t give you chills.” Speaking of LeBron, he said, “I’m older than Bron that’s (why) I didn’t have to watch him growing up. I watched MJ growing up.”
He also mentioned the intro theme for Bulls. As most fans would remember, the song struck fear into the hearts of their opponents, as the music heightened the anticipation of witnessing Jordan’s unparalleled prowess. While he certainly doesn’t mean any disrespect towards his former teammate, Haslem emphasized the real meaning behind choosing His Airness over King James.
