Apart from the Boston Celtics legends from the 1950s and 1960s, there is only one player in NBA history to have more rings than the great Michael Jordan. After winning 7 championships during his time in the league, Robert Horry is considered one of the biggest winners in the history of the sport.

Having played 16 years in the NBA and having gone up against Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers legend reveals his rankings of the trio in the ‘Greatest Of All Time’ debate.

In an episode of All The Smoke, with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes, the special guest was Robert Horry. Horry talked about his take on the GOAT debate and how he would rank the players.

Horry said, “MJ is 1, Kobe is 2, and LeBron is 3“. The former Lakers star couldn’t find any flaws in MJ’s game. People often say that Jordan didn’t shoot threes. He then said, “When you reveal this, people gonna say you smacking LeBron in the face“. Horry gave reasons for it by saying that Jordan didn’t have to shoot threes because no one could stop him when he derived to the basket or pulled up for a jumper. He said that Jordan could shoot threes when he wanted to.

Kobe was also similar to that. LeBron is a great player, and he is not disrespecting LeBron while saying this. He says, “Lebron is 1c, Kobe is 1B, and Mike is just first“.

He then said that there are not a lot of flaws in the others, but there are “small chinks in the armor” and Jordan had none. So in a world where we look at the body of work put in by these greats through a microscope, MJ is better. This made Stephen Jackson say that “He (Michael Jordan) has more rings than all of them“.

Horry mentions that someone else should be given a chance to play. LeBron, at this age, has more than enough miles on his body, so playing in the offseason as well is not something he should be looking for. Do you agree with Robert Horry’s comments?
