Michael Jordan set to auction $120,000 car
When you’re an athlete as wealthy as Air Jordan, you can have your pick of everything. So it makes perfect sense that Jordan, during the peak of his fame, drove around in a Mercedes-Benz S600 Lorinser.
A car that has seen its fair share of era-defining moments, this particular Benz is what ‘Black Jesus’ drove in his heyday. Having witnessed his historic second three-peat with the Bulls, it’s safe to assume that this fine piece of German engineering would set a prospective buyer back at least six figures.

However, fans have been left confused by the listed price of this car. Several reports have confirmed that the Hall of Famer’s car is to be auctioned off for a measly $23. While the number 23 is significant for Jordan, fans are left wondering why such an iconic vehicle would be listed for so low.

Auction or Straight Sale?
Most fans seem confused about whether it’s an auction for the car, or if it’s straight-up available for only $23. Acknowledging it as a good way to garner some publicity, one fan commented, “It?s a strategy, it might start at $23 but since its Jordan?s car it might get around $200k.”
Another said, “That?s the starting bid to get a million people into the auction it?ll go for wayyyyyy more,” cementing the idea that it may be an auction as compared to a flat-out sale.
