It has been more than a week now and football fans are still furious about CFP’s decision to keep an excellent Florida team out of playoff contention. The heat was about to settle down, but NBA legend Charles Barkley decided to remind the internet about the misery, in a podcast episode with his TNT buddy Ernie Johnson. With some harsh words, the 1993 NBA MVP absolutely destroyed the selection committee, and thus termed them “idiots”.
Pin-pointing their illogical decision, Barkley also threw light into the Jordan Travis issue, which has been the root cause for all the problems.

Charles Barkley demolishes the CFP committee for Florida snub
The Florida State Seminoles were undefeated in the Power 5, which is one of the most powerful conferences in college football. A 13-0 run and two huge road wins helped Florida earn the top spot in their conference. But it was not enough for them to make it to the playoffs. What more can they do?

Well, fans believe there is nothing more that the Florida state can prove. All the frustration for the snub was directed towards the College Football Playoff committee, which has given an absurd reason. The CFP believes a Jordan Travis-less Florida team is not fit for the playoffs. Well, Barkley views it completely in a different manner.
The 76ers legend shared, “Florida State got sc****d, jobbed, bamboozled, led astray… What bothers me about that is… it never happened. A Power Five school winning undefeated has never missed the playoffs… What really bothers me about the Florida State thing is, I saw those idiots on television… talking about, ‘We factor in Jordan Travis not being there.'”
Barkley is clearly not a fan of the CFP’s decision and the reason they gave. Star QB Jordan Travis suffered a season-ending leg injury against North Alabama in November. His absence was pivotal for the Seminoles not being selected, but the Chuckster believes they were thriving without Travis as well.

Charles Barkley believes in a Travis-less Florida State
The 60-year-old has his reasons to back up the Seminoles. He shared, “I look at it totally different. Those kids and that coaching staff won three games with backups. That’s impressive to me as a player… ‘Are they the same team? No. But they still won three games with a backup backup. And I was disgusted.”
Well, the entire Florida State team is disgusted too. Coach Mike Norvell shared, “I am disgusted and infuriated with the committee’s decision today to have what was earned on the field taken away because a small group of people decided they knew better than the results of the games.”
