The Detroit Pistons, the most underrated team of the 90s, are renowned for their style of play. They named the Pistons “The Bad Boys Pistons” due to their hostile and physical approach towards the game. Teams faced some harsh play from Isaiah Thomas, Dennis Rodman and Bill Laimbeer’s squad.

In a candid interview with DJ Vlad, the Atlanta Hawks legend Dominique Wilkins shed light on the NBA during the late 80s and 90s. Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls dominated the 90s era of the NBA. But only a few recognize the dominance of the Detroit Pistons. Led by one of the bad boys of the league himself, Isiah Thomas.?
During the interview, they asked Wilkins about his feelings towards Bill Laimbeer, one of the pillars of the “Bad Boy Pistons” era.
?The 9x all-star revealed that even though Laimbeer?s dirty on-court shenanigans, he depicts a contradictory personality off the court. Wilkins admitted that the Prince of Darkness, off the court, was one of the ?nicest? individuals you would come across.
?I hated him as a player, but the craziest thing is if you talk to Bill Laimbeer? away from the court, he’s the nicest guy you ever want to meet.?
With their physicality and brutal style of play, the Pistons and Laimbeer earned two NBA championships, admitted the former Atlanta Hawks small forward. He also recalled one of the dirtier tools in their bag.
“Dirty move” on Wilkins

While Michael Jordan claimed to benefit from the Piston’s brutal methods, Wilkins recalled one of his harshest interactions with the Bad Boys. In the interview, Dominique? mentioned the ?dirtiest thing??Laimbeer did to him.
?Him and [Rick] Mahorn, where I got hit right below my neck and then the small of my back… like they snatch you out of the air, and I remember, like I wasn’t hurt, but I was shocked. They didn’t just snatch me out of the air??
Wilkins stated that the Detroit Pistons intended to prevent their opponents from scoring through rough play.

“Their whole thing was about making you earn everything you got, you know especially when you come to the paint. If you get 2, you gonna earn it.”
