Stephen Curry loves the game of golf. Although losing Capital One’s ‘The Match’ earlier this year to NFL duo Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelcee. Steph’s affinity for the sport continues to grow as he recently won a celebrity golf event in Stateline Nevada. Previously dissing 76ers legend Charles Barkley for his brutal handicap, the former MVPs could square off once again for a future rendition of ‘The Match’.
Stephen Curry trolls Charles Barkley as an old video resurfaces

There aren’t many similarities between Stephen Curry and Charles Barkley. Other than the fact that both men were league MVPs and love golf the two are poles apart. Their love for golf has seen both individuals participate in Capital One’s ‘The Match’, with Charles Barkley taking home the win when the two last met in 2020. Teaming up with seasoned golfer Phil Mickelson, Chuck held the advantage last time around as Curry was partnered with Peyton Manning.
Although unfair in terms of talent, Sir Charles’ handicap certainly did help his opposition. The number 30 from GSW poked fun at Barkley’s impediment as a resurfaced tweet read, “They’re gonna have to put that 24 second shot clock on Chuck for this thing. He’s gonna be burning daylight out there.”

Tagging Phil Mickelson in the tweet, Curry was making fun of Barkley’s swing as his hips aren’t as fluid as many would assume. Having sustained hip related injuries during his career the round mound of rebound has undergone two surgeries since.
The video shared on Instagram shows Barkley struggling to hit the ball in one motion as he took a minute to buffer before taking the shot.
After losing Capital One’s ‘The Match’ to the Kansas City duo earlier this year, Stephen Curry participated in the American Century Championship as he ditched the support of Klay Thompson.

Stephen Curry’s latest win in the offseason
Vying off against Tennis star Mardy Fish, Dallas Stars forward Joe Pavelski and former baseball pitcher Mark Mulder, Steph won the celebrity event finishing with a round total of 75.
More impressively the guard shot his first ever hole in one which was 172 yards away. This feat meant that he became only the fifth person ever to do so in the tournament’s 34-year history.
