Billie Eilish kick-started the Lollapalooza music festival at Grant Park in Chicago. And she paid tribute to the Windy City in a special way. The multi-genre hitmaker sported attire from one of the greatest eras of Chi-Town’s sports history. That is, of course, the winning era of the Chicago Bulls dynasty led by NBA legend, Michael Jordan. As much as fans love Eilish’s vintage sports fashion, it’s a special part of her performance that Chicago loved more.

With all the attention on her at Lollapalooza, Eilish took the opportunity to pay tribute to the late Angus Cloud. The?Euphoria?star passed away mere days before the festival she’s headlining began.

You couldn’t fit Billie Eilish’s fashion into a singular category. From goth to lazy, she’s done it all and pulled it off stylishly. She opened the Lollapalooza Music Festival 2023 in Chicago, celebrating the city’s glorious sporting history. This outfit is retro and notably, not generic sports merchandise.

Chicago’s mayor, Brandon Johnson, introduced Billie Eilish to the roaring crowd. Eilish performed in an oversized vintage basketball jersey in recognizable black and red colors. The Chicago Bulls jersey sported #23 on it. She brought that very energy that the original wearer of the #23 Chicago Bulls jersey, Mr. Michael Jordan himself, showcased throughout the ’80s and ’90s.

The jersey is an official replica of the iconic jersey MJ wore in the 1998 NBA finals. It makes it a rare collector’s item and extremely valuable. Original Jordan merch is highly sought after and sometimes goes for thousands of dollars.

Eilish turned up the Bulls dynasty fashion with her hair dyed matching black and red. While her slight frame was swimming in the jersey and shorts ensemble, she completed it with a black shirt inside, black and white socks, and Air Jordan trainers. Her silver necklaces and signature shades complemented the entire ensemble.

The performer shared the best angles of her outfit on social media. However, residents of Windy City were more moved by another aspect of her performance.

Billie Eilish remembers a late star

Angus Cloud passed away on July 31, 2023. He was 25. The cause of death is widely speculated, but there’s no official confirmation.

Several famous names expressed their grief at this loss. One of them was Dwyane Wade’s daughter, Zaya, and wife, Gabrielle Union. Billie Eilish wasn’t far behind.

The Lollapalooza opened on August 3, after Cloud’s sudden death. The headliner, Eilish, performed her song, “Never Felt So Alone” on opening night. This song was featured in?Euphoria?season 2 on which Cloud played Fezco.
