In the early hours of Thursday morning, Gilbert Arenas’ life had a shocking update. His son, Alijah Arenas, suffered a car accident, which the officials responded to at 4.56 am. The crash wrecked the fire hydrant and a tree before the CyberTruck caught fire. Nearby bystanders at the crash site pulled the 18-year-old out of his vehicle, and later he was placed in an induced coma to aid his recovery. With the prayers coming in from the NBA community and family, there is a positive update.

It was the Gil’s Arena crew who provided the update. The host of the show, Josiah Johnson, addressed the issue since the show was on break since Thursday. While addressing, the host made it clear why Alijah Arenas was traveling late at night/early morning in his car. “He was coming back from the gym, getting ready to go back put some more work in the gym, lost control of his car suffered an accident. He’s placed in induced coma as a precautionary measure due to smoke inhalation as a result of accident.

As Johnson said, the USC commit player was coming back from the gym when the accident took place. But there is a more positive update about Gilbert Arenas’ son. “But happy to announce that Alijah doing much better. Just got off the phone with Gil about 5 minutes ago, Alijah’s doing better walking, talking, uh, progressing very well.” In fact, the stay at the hospital could also end very soon.

Should be released from the hospital very soon, no major injuries as a result of the car accident,” said Johnson. From the previous reports as well, there was no indication of the five-star recruit driving under the influence of alcohol or any dr–s. The family previously shared the positive update about Alijah as he wrote on a piece of paper, “Did anyone get hurt?” This was from the statement that the family made about the 18-year-old’s recovery.

The family of Gilbert Arenas prayed and asked for support as Alijah made a recovery

After the news about the crash grabbed headlines, the video from the site caused distress. The burning car in the background, and a pool of water everywhere, one could spot Alijah Arenas in the puddle. It was the onlookers who helped him escape at the right time. Due to smoke inhalation, the five-star recruit was on induced coma, which is a very common protocol. The family also prayed during the uncertain times and requested the same from the community.

Recently, even the wife of Agent Zero spoke and guaranteed an amazing return for Alijah. “Thank you for all THE LOVE 🫶🏾 & THE PRAYERS the baby is doing good.” Melli Monaco added the caption that the photo was of her and Alijah, where both of them were seen smiling. In another story, she added, “I just know the comeback About to be 🗣️CRAAAAZY.” This was the previous photo from the sidelines when the son of Gilbert Arenas was on the court.

As Johnson said, the prayers came through and are helping Alijah in his journey. This week, the Gil’s Arena is back even though the former Warriors star will be back later. Understandably so, since his son is recovering from a major accident.
