TikTok trends have a bigger and better challenger. After a few laidback attempts to learn the trendiest moves, Shaquille O’Neal finally got one trend down. He busted out his new moves in front of a massive crowd. Thanks to his co-performer and DJ, Sullivan King, we know that DJ Diesel put a lot of effort into mastering this one trend. However, he didn’t want his fans to find out about it. Again, King exposed how Shaq upped the game at Red Rock.
The Colorado Buffaloes football kicked off their bye week with a huge headliner this week. Shaquille O’Neal was joined by King to perform at the sold-out Red Rocks Amphitheater on Sunday. The crowd there probably captured the moment Shaq broke out the “How to Go” TikTok move during a set.
King declared, “DJ Diesel = ur favorite artist’s favorite all star,” on Instagram while showing why. As soon as they met before the performance, Shaq asked King, “Teach me how… how… to go? Teach me that dance.” King did teach him while Shaq threw in his signature goofy moves.

Moments before going on stage, King walked in on Shaq secretly practicing diligently. When King tried to confirm, “Are you… are you practicing,” Shaq lost it. He aggressively said, “Ay man… Get that camera out my face!” and shoved the camera.

It was all a funny staging for the main event though. So later, when Shaq not only played the dubstep version of “How to Go” but also did the move, he looked extra awesome. King loved it and Shaq’s definitely proud of mastering on trend because he was in the comments of the same post stating, “Nailed it lol.” If he needed further validation, several commenters pointed out that Charles Barkley could never nail this trend.

Social media fanatic, Shaquille O’Neal has always been on TikTok, mostly with his funny content. He’s caught the trendy challenge bug recently, including joining Angel Reese for the “In da clurb, we all fam” trend.
During the live show of The Big Podcast at LSU, a student attempted to teach him the “Trip Out” challenge. He switched it up with his own moves and we never saw an official clip of him doing the ‘Trip Out.’
While O’Neal is never shy about busting some moves, he didn’t seem to jump on trends. Until he was set to debut as a Red Rocks headliner in Denver. A day after the Buffs secured their eligibility for the bowl, the team and fans flooded the venue to watch Shaq perform.

Shaq’s already a fan of Deion Sanders’ Buffs. Denver also hosted the all-female edition of Shaq’s Bass All Stars earlier this year. But the trapheads on Sunday overwhelmed him with their hyped response. Almost immediately he was on his alternate DJ Diesel page to express, “first solo headline at Red Rocks and y’all mfs packed it on a Sunday! 🤯 That’s why I love you Denver, now I know why they call you the bass capital.”
We can thank Denver and Sullivan King for soft-launching Shaq’s trendy TikTok era.
