This fan did something extreme! The owner of Barstool Sports grabbed headlines for giving Mavs vs. Celtics Finals Game 1 tickets to Celtics fans for free. As if that wasn’t enough, Portney did something extreme again in Game 2. Dave Portnoy went viral for flaunting a T-shirt that had Kyrie Irving‘s face portrayed as a clown. While the Celtics fans have been angry with Uncle Drew for a long time especially since he left the franchise in 2019, a former Boston Celtics assistant coach asked the businessman to stop with his antics.
“No, Dave Portnoy is a lame for that. To a certain extent and I don’t even want to use like no bad language or like whatever like come on bro get off that man d**k bro. Y’all be like on, like, get off his d**k G. It went from.. It looked crazy G,” Evan Turner said on the Point Forward podcast. Calling Dave Portnory’s actions lame, the 35-year-old former assistant coach urged the founder and president of Barstool Sports to stop these antics against Irving.
Fans hoped Irving would bring the 18th title during his 2-year-time with the franchise. However, he wasn’t able to do so and left for the Nets. Following this, fans have been consistent in expressing their disappointment against him. What do you think about Portnoy’s actions? After mocking the Dallas star by showing off his shirt on the jumbotron, Portnoy also took to his social media handle to slam Irving.

Kyrie Irving gets ruthlessly criticized by Boston Celtics fans
Taking to his X account, he shared a viral clip of himself wearing the shirt and wrote, “This one? Read a book, clown.” Evan Turner’s frustration can be understood, as Portnoy continued to criticize the Dallas Mavericks star. Aiming a shot at him, the Barstool owner wrote, “Kyrie keeps talking about how Celtic fans aren’t in his head while they clearly are in his head.’The question is, are they?”
Since the Dallas Mavericks lost Game 1 against the Boston Celtics last Friday, fans’ chants of ‘Kyrie sucks’ have only gotten louder in the arena. The TD Garden wasn’t exactly welcoming or forgiving to Uncle Drew, with the crowd booing especially after Irving reportedly stomped on the Celtics logo in the past. Irving himself expressed that he was aware of the booing that would happen, and it did.

This is Irving’s 12th straight loss against the Celtics. Portnoy also made sure to bring that up while trolling the Mavericks star on his social media. It seems the only way for Irving to stop the Celtics is to win. It’s a long-held rivalry, and the Cs won’t give up easily either.
