It was the collaboration we all needed. The Wade family has always expressed a soft heart for the Chi-Town Barbie, including the family’s youngest, Kaavia whose wholesome obsession was visible recently. So a team-up was only highly anticipated and it did arrive. Showering her praises over Angel Reese, the Bring It On actress very subtly might just have promoted their collab.

Reese shared her all-glam selfie look from the latest episode of her podcast, Unapologetically Angel, on X. Among the flurry of flattering comments for Reese, Dwyane Wade‘s wife, Union, also chimed in. Retweeting the post, Union wrote, “Even better in person 💖.” Now, for the detectives, there’s a hint in there.

The Bring It On actress will be the newest guest on Reese’s podcast. It was only a matter of time. Reese also shared a cute selfie with Union on her Instagram handle. Fawning over Union’s god-like facial features, Reese captioned it, “DROP DEAD GORG.”

Apart from their love for all things fashion, the two also share another thing in common. While Union is married to the Miami Heat legend Wade, Reese is also rumored to be seeking love in the NBA. So, it’s safe to expect a fun conversation, along with some lesser-known facts. But that’s not it. Kaavia, the youngest of Wade’s children, was seen dolled up, just last week, in a T-Shirt adorning the Sky rookie’s image on it. The little one also completed the look with a pink backpack and a Barbie lunchbox. “such a cutie! Love her,” Reese had shared.

Wade had invested in Chicago Sky last year in hopes of finding the right influence and role models for Kaavia growing up. “You understand the importance of role models and so, I want my daughter to have that same feeling,” he had iterated. Seems like the impact is already visible. So count that in in their conversations as well.

So this love, respect, and fangirling from the Bring It On actress have also meant words of comfort whenever necessary.

It was indeed an incredible year for Reese, but her injury took a toll on both her and the team. The Sky were tied with the Atlanta Dream for eighth place in the WNBA standings when she sustained a season-ending wrist injury. Soon after, numerous NBA and WNBA stars, along with Union, took to X to console her. “So proud of you!!!” Union wrote to cheer her up.

Reese was one of the top contenders for the Rookie of the Year award. However, with the instance, she lost her chance to land upon the most coveted honor as a rookie. She has received lots of love and perhaps this is what gives her strength. Chicago Sky’s race to secure a playoff spot ended with their loss to the Connecticut Sun. That didn’t break her spirits.

“Year 1 was filled with nothing but amazing memorable memories. Bye-bye, Rook15!” Reese said. She’s already looking forward to the next season while taking longer strides in her podcasting role. Though the year may have ended on a tough note for the Chicago Sky, the Chi-Town Barbie is looking to the brighter side.
