Shining the spotlight on lesser-known stars of the media world is what Dwyane Wade is loving. Just recently he extended his praise for Dorris Bruke for her exceptional analysis of the game between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves. And now he’s hyping up yet another icon from the media world. Yes, he has some personal emotions involved but there’s no bias involved here.

The most recent one to have her flowers from Wade is 44-year-old journalist Julee Wilson, who covered Zaya Wade up close through her interview-based article for Seventeen Magazine.

Wilson shared an IG post on Instagram expressing her emotions after the success that her article has received. “LOVE [heart emojis],” Gabrielle Union-Wade wrote in the comment section. Next in line? Yes, Dwyane Wade of course. The Miami Heat icon simply dropped a fire emoji in the comment section, only to reserve his words for later.

Wilson shared a snap-grab of the comments by the two stars in her IG story, writing, “When the parents co-sign the magic.” This time around Dwyane Wade could not resist speaking his appreciation out loud. “Such an amazing coverage for the cover of Seventeen Magazine!”

Well, there is no denying the article is an amazing piece of work. If you have wanted to know Zaya Wade up close, you can give this story by Wilson a read. There is a reason that many from the corridors of media have taken this story for intense coverage on not just Zaya but Gabrielle and Dwyane Wade.

If not us, you can take D-Wade’s word for it. The man who has recently been honest in giving credit where it’s due.

Dwyane Wade’s love for the 60YO commentator was not as well received

The Flash couldn’t help but give flowers to 60-year-old commentator Doris Burke after catching her lightning-fast breakdown of the Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Minnesota Timberwolves game. And honestly, if you’ve ever listened to Burke call a game, you know exactly why he was so impressed.

What’s your perspective on:

Does Dwyane Wade's praise for Doris Burke show she's the best commentator in the game today?

Have an interesting take?

“Doris Burke just broke down the first half of this OKC/MIN game in about 30 seconds. She hit on every play that was shown on the screen, and it made me feel as though I watched the first half (I didn’t). That’s so hard to do! I have so much respect for the voices of our game,” Wade shared.

And let’s be real—Burke isn’t just any commentator. She’s a staple in basketball broadcasting, known for her deep understanding of the game. Her resume reflects it loud and clear.  In 2020, she made history as the first woman to serve as a game analyst for the NBA Finals on ESPN Radio—a role she’s crushed every year since.

Yes, there are some in the reply section who disagreed with Dwyane Wade’s praise but that doesn’t take away what the Miami Heat icon had to say about her.
