Let’s just agree that even a decade of being together cannot make you a couple who have zero complaints. Don’t agree with us? Gabrielle Union-Wade’s revelation, coming after recently celebrating 10 years of marriage, should do the trick. For those who don’t remember, the couple tied the knot in August 2014. Now, in a recently released episode of Armchair Expert, Gab has stated Dwyane Wade‘s one habit she just can’t tolerate.

Nothing major, but just that Wade is a serial throat clearer. Don’t get it? Just imagine the sound of Ahem-Ahem and all the variations of it. “My husband’s a throat clearer. And I don’t know why, it incites a level of rage in me every f*cking time…He’s like (Ahem-Ahem)…And I’m like, ‘there’s nothing in there’. It’s just like a tick,” Gab said, via Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard.

And this is not Dwyane Wade’s only one of the little habits that annoys Union. In the comment section of one of D-Wade’s 2018 IG posts, it came to light that she does not like it when he leaves the toothpaste cap open. Neither is Gab a big fan of her husband’s sweatpants-heavy fashion. Similarly, this throat-clearing seems to be just one of those habits of your partner that you learn to live with.

Even the Armchair Expert host Dax Shepard confessed he was into the extreme version of this during his morning routines. But he didn’t expect Wade to be suffering from this, given his peak physical form. To this, Gab clarified, “I don’t think there’s anything wrong. I think he had post-nasal drip…And then it went away.” What he does now is a little sound that clears that room and makes it seem something important is about to come.

It seems when you’ve survived the extremes of a relationship like Wade and Union did, you easily laugh off these little annoying habits. For those who don’t know, the couple has seen it all — from infertility issues to rumors of divorce in 2023. But they still stand together strong.

For those who are not aware, the two tied the knot on August 30, 2014, and the year 2024 marked a decade of this union. The couple celebrated the occasion with a destination getaway with family and friends. While Union-Wade dazzled in an all-pink gown, the 3x NBA champ went with an all-beige outfit. But more than the appearance, the capturing factor was the words the two shared for each other.

The former Miami Heat star, in a heart-touching speech, admitted year 9 being tough on them as a couple. So much so that the two were reminiscing about how they even got to this point. And Dwyane Wade believes a majority of the credit for making it this far goes to his better half.

“… Thank you for continuing to show me that you ain’t going nowhere… That you’re willing to love me through shortcomings I’ve had and the moments of growth that I have…” he said. Even Gab responded with a, “What you just said means everything” to her husband.
