Any piece of advice coming from a legend can be life-changing. Especially if the said legend is Michael Jordan and the one to take advice is a young 22-year-old baller. However, it seems like not everyone carries the same chain of thought. While Jordan remains the most revered athlete in the history of the league, he also has some naysayers.
Recently, LaVar Ball thrashed the idea of his son taking MJ’s advice in his career. LaMelo Ball is a 22-year-old youngster who plays for the Charlotte Hornets. The same franchise that MJ was the majority owner of. LaVar said that his son doesn’t need Jordan’s advice and his reason is mind-boggling, to say the least.

Any young athlete or entrepreneur would kill for the opportunity to talk to MJ. His experience in the league, his knowledge of the world, and his business acumen are something to marvel at. However, LaVar Ball doesn’t think that his son can use anything that MJ might have to offer in the name of advice. The two have been in a back-and-forth several times in the past as well. LaVar has long maintained his stance on dislike for MJ whereas the Bulls legend has clapped back as well.
During his recent appearance on DJ VLAD’s show, he took several shots at the Chicago Bulls legend. LaVar was asked about his previous comment on Jordan giving advice to his son. He had said, “When was the last time you won?” questioning his credibility in the modern-day game. Recently he said, “What advice he gon’ give my son? You ain’t no point guard.” Additionally, LaVar also feels that if Jordan wants to give some advice, he should do so to the coaches so they can use LaMelo’s abilities in a better way.
Despite their animosity, making such a bold statement in an attempt to tarnish MJ’s game knowledge and experience is new for LaVar.

Michael Jordan on going 1v1 against LaVar Ball
LaVar, being a long-time critic of Jordan, has said some outlandish things in the past. Once he had said that he would take down MJ in a one-on-one battle. As bold as the statement was, most people found it laughable. Whereas the Bulls legend, staying well within his character decided to not dodge this one as well. After mocking LaVar’s 2.2 ppg stat, he said “It doesn’t deserve a response”. However, Jordan is not one to back down, so he had a fitting response for the 56-year-old. He said, “I don’t think he could beat me if I was one-legged.”
