Following his recent on-court incident, Draymond Green has been suspended for a second time within one month. Although players playing with intensity helps with fan attraction, as soon as they start fighting, it affects the NBA negatively. So even if people want Green to get back on the court, a former Golden State Warriors teammate feels that Green should take the time off and reflect on his actions.
Having witnessed everything that Draymond Green has done on the court so far, Richard Jefferson has given a reality check to the 4x champion that his actions have consequences that go beyond flagrant fouls and on court transgressions.

During a recent episode of the Road Trippin podcast, Richard Jefferson and Channing Frye talked about the recent Draymond Green ejection and suspension. While discussing the timeline for Draymond Green’s return to the court, Richard Jefferson explained the impact of such actions on the court.
Once a player is deemed a threat to others on the court, the NBA won’t hold back with its punishments. Some go with the advertisements. Since Ja Morant was suspended by the NBA, the media has not even talked about his return, even though he just has two more games to finish his suspension. So the NBA won’t tolerate anyone who affects the sponsorships.
Jefferson said, “It is a gift and an honor to play in this league. And some people aren’t respecting that. Dray is not respecting that. He is not above every other player’s safety. That’s the part for me.“
Although on-court scuffles are nothing new, Draymond has been a common denominator for far too long. This season along Green has had more ejections than most players have had in their entire career. That is why the NBA is sticking with the ‘indefinite’ suspension, as they are going to take as long as it takes to get Green back on track.

After his recent suspension, reports have revealed that Green has accepted that he needs help and is willing to get himself under control. This is one of the reasons why the suspension is indefinite and there is no specific timeline for his return.
The Warriors and the NBA are working together to give Green the help that he deserves to get himself under control while taking as long as needed. Green will only be allowed to return to play after he has successfully shown that he can meet certain conditions set forth by the NBA and the Warriors.
