NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is one of the richest celebrities in the world. The Big Diesel has an estimated net worth of $400 million and lives life king size. However, that was not always the case. Shaq had a very humble beginning growing up, and he does not forget where he came from. So, the Los Angeles Lakers legend always lends a helping hand to people in need and is loved by fans around the world for his generosity. O’Neal recently broke down after he was forced to accept help during a podcast appearance.

The four-time NBA champion is known for his random act of kindness. Over the years, many clips of Shaq helping people out of the blue in public places have gone viral. Also, he gives a lot to charity via his foundation as well.

Shaquille O’Neal reluctantly accepts the donation

Shaquille O’Neal is always on the go taking part in various podcasts and shows throughout the month. A few weeks back, the former center made an appearance on the MoTalk Radio show hosted by Grammy Award-winning singer, actress, philanthropist, and entrepreneur Monica. During the 40 minutes long episode 1 of the show, Shaq and Monica had some interesting discussions. Given the personality of the Hall of Famer, the sit-down was hilarious as well.

In the final few minutes of the show, the host showed one of Shaq’s past interviews where he talked about helping people and his foundation. Shaq noted that it is fulfilling to him put a smile on people’s faces by helping them. After the video clip was over, Monica had a surprise for the Hall of Famer.

She disclosed that she wants to give what she can to his foundation. Shaq wondered what it was and asked whether it was money. When the host replied that it could be money, O’Neal said, “I don’t want your money!” However, Monica insisted, “Well, the foundation does rite?”

The host then went inside and brought out a huge cheque of $10,000 for Shaq’s foundation. After seeing this, the 2000 NBA MVP stated that he will have to pay her back. Monica said, “You’ve been checking on me 25 years.”

Shaq then hilariously acted like he broke down after accepting the money. He even played Cupid – 112 on his phone and said that it was his “cry song”. After reluctantly accepting help, O’Neal still felt that he owe her. He noted, “It’s gonna be double that!”

Even though he appreciated Monica’s contribution to his foundation, O’Neal promised he will double it and give her.
