Thirst over celebrity is not new to O’Neal boys. Once Shaquille O’Neal and his son Shareef even had a battle over who could “bag Rihanna.” But this year, Big Shaq and another of his sons, Shaqir, celebrated in their own unique ways. While Shaq turned to AI for a hilarious romance with Marilyn Monroe, Shaqir’s Valentine’s Day date was just as unexpected.
Shaqir took to Instagram to share his “romantic” moment. The 21-year-old posted a picture of himself hugging none other than pop sensation Beyoncé. He kept the caption simple: “Happy V-Day y’all,” before adding a cheeky “miss u 🐝.” But as much as Shaqir might have wished it was the real Queen Bey, a closer look revealed that he was actually embracing a wax-like statue of the singer.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Shaqir pulled this stunt. He had previously posted the exact same picture on “National GF Day” in 2023 and even way back in 2019 on Beyoncé’s birthday.

It seems like the young O’Neal doesn’t have a real photo with his idol, but that hasn’t stopped him from making it look like they have a special connection. Though Beyoncé has been married to Jay-Z for years, Shaqir, much like the rest of the O’Neal boys, remains persistent in his celebrity admiration.
Speaking of celebrity crushes, Shareef O’Neal once took his shot with Rihanna. He posted a photo with the caption, “waiting for Rihanna like…” But Shaq, never one to miss an opportunity for a laugh, quickly shut down his son’s hopes. “She don’t want you, she want me, I am sexier,” the Big Aristotle declared, leaving fans in stitches.

But if anyone thought Shareef would back down, they clearly don’t know the O’Neals. His response? “I already bagged her, it’s too late man.” This year, though, Shaq decided to play it safe. Instead of competing for Rihanna, he let AI do the work—crafting the perfect love story with none other than Marilyn Monroe.

Shaquille O’Neal and Marilyn Monroe’s love story
For Valentine’s Day 2025, Shaquille O’Neal wasn’t about to be alone. Or at least, that’s what he wanted everyone to believe. The NBA legend found his perfect Valentine, but not in the way you’d expect. Shaq turned to technology, using an AI app to create a completely fake but hilarious love story.

Shaq vs. Shareef on Rihanna—who's got the better shot, or is it all just a joke?

And who did Shaq pick as his dream date? None other than Hollywood icon Marilyn Monroe. The entire thing was artificial, but that didn’t stop the Big Diesel from going all in.
The clip opens with Shaq having a phone conversation with Monroe, portraying her as his Valentine. But he didn’t stop there—the video takes things to another level, imagining a full-fledged romance, a wedding, and even a child.

“Happy Valentine’s Day #iloveyou #shaqandmarilyn #bemyvalentine @weareauthentic @papajohns,” he wrote while sharing the clip on Instagram.
But while fans found it amusing, his kids were less impressed. His daughter Taahirah reacted with a simple ‘fed up’ face GIF, making her feelings clear. Shareef, on the other hand, summed it up best with his comment: “bro what.” Whether they approve or not, one thing is certain—the O’Neal boys will always find a way to steal the spotlight.
