Is 'enjoy the traffic' the best life lesson from Dwyane Wade? Share your thoughts!

The dedication to Dwyane Wade continues. Apparently, even when Gabrielle Union was the first ‘crush’. After the emotional week of the statue unveiling ceremony, many NBA stars paid their respects. At one point, Wade even shed a tear when Zaire spoke about many lessons his father had shared. Now, a tennis star also endorsed one such lesson, and it’s not the first time he has shown love to the Miami Heat legend or his wife.

Enjoy the traffic.” Frances Tiafoe added a post on Instagram after a grueling tennis season. The $8 million worth tennis star continued, “The 2k24 season was one crazy rollercoaster ride. I want to thank all of my friends and family as well. Lastly, I want to thank the fans love y’all ✊🏿✊🏿.” Zaire Wade shared the post on his story, “enjoy the traffic ^,” and also left a comment, “enjoy the traffic🚥🫡.

It’s one story that the former G-League star shared about his father, Dwyane Wade. “Before I finish, I want to give one an analogy that my Pops taught me and I go about it every day. I want you guys to take it with you. Parents, teach it to your kids if you haven’t, but enjoy the traffic. Whatever you do, enjoy traffic.” This means not being in a hurry to reach the destination but enjoying the present moment and Zaire is certainly doing so.

The tennis star previously expressed his admiration for Gabrielle Union and a tongue-in-cheek jab to his girlfriend. “I was telling my girl that my crush was Gabrielle Union. Shoutout to D-Wade, all love, he was my coach in the All-Star Game, I am going to text him after the show. Flash, you one of the coldest, I ain’t even going to hit her. When she followed me back, I almost didn’t even follow back too.” Last year in December, Tiafoe appeared on Connect The Dots Podcast.

The tennis star’s admiration for Union reaches such heights that he doesn’t hide it from his girlfriend either. Big Foe has been in a relationship with another tennis star Ayan Broomfield since 2018. “To see her, I was like, ‘I will leave your a– for her any day.‘” Yes, Tiafoe jokingly said he would leave Broomfield for Gabrielle Union. But as he previously mentioned, “I ain’t even going to hit her.”

Dwyane Wade and Frances Tiafoe’s encounters in the past

As stated previously, the 26-year-old was part of the 2023 NBA Celebrity All-Star Game. The game was held in Salt Lake City, and the Utah Jazz were the hosts of all the teams. The team’s majority owner, Ryan Smith, was one of the captains of a celebrity team that featured 5x AMA award-winning artist Kane Brown, WWE Superstar The Miz, and others. Dwyane Wade led the second team featuring tennis star Tiafoe, who also wore #3 in that team.

Team Wade would pick up the win 81-78 after Miz’s buzzer-beater was disallowed. When Dwyane Wade shared a reel of practicing in 2022, Tiafoe even left an encoding comment. “Hell yeah @dwyanewade,” the DMV native wrote on his Instagram Stories and shared the post from Tennis Channel. But one would be surprised to know that both superstars of their respective fields met in 2016,

“I saw Dwyane Wade in the locker room of the Miami Heat (in December). We had a connect there… I took a selfie with him, I was with my girlfriend. It was unbelievable.” In an interview with the ATP in 2016, Tiafoe explained the meeting about the 3x NBA Champion. So, now, Tiafoe sharing the quote in a Miami T-shirt doesn’t surprise anybody.
