“Dallas is my midway point when I have to go do business on the West Coast,” Shaquille O’Neal had spoken to Dallas Morning News last year. And now it seems Shaq is adding multiple properties to his portfolio. But this was not always easy as previously, he had issues saying ‘No’ to one of his most famous icons. But now the spending spree in North Texas continues.
According to WFAA, Shaquille O’Neal has added another property in the region of North Texas. Previously, Shaq had purchased a property in 2022, in Carrollton. Considering one of the best counties, O’Neal purchased a house in Collin County in Texas. Realtor Zac Gideo posted on Instagram about helping Shaquille to find a new home. And now, the trust that bought the previous house has made another investment in Rockwall County.
A 4670-square-foot home was purchased at a market value of $1.7 million. However, there is no guarantee that Shaquille O’Neal would start living there. But if he wished to, the property contains a 500-square-foot pool house. The property was bought back in April and is located within the prestigious Ridge Lakes. Just like this, Shaq had a beautiful property that he had to get rid of but couldn’t.

Previously in Orlando, O’Neal owned a worth mansion of $28 million but was sold for $11 million in 2021. It was on the market for three years before a Dentist finally bought the house. Just like Orlando, he is making Atlanta his home now and even made a surprise visit to the city.
Shaq even took time out to click photographs with his fans in Rockwall County. Few fans spotted him at Walmart, so is this a sign of him changing his home? But there was a time when he did not want to change his home but was constantly asked by the King of Pop.
Shaquille O’Neal and his $25 million regret
The Los Angeles Lakers legend had already collaborated with Michael Jackson at that point. He had a verse in the song ‘2 Bad’ in the ‘HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I’ Album released in 1995. Shaquille O’Neal in an interview with DrinkChamps episode in 2022 revealed that MJ had an eye on the Orlando house.
“MJ showed up at my house and tried to buy my house in Orlando. Yeah, he just showed up at the door.” Shaq continued, “He looked around the house, he’s like, ‘I want to buy the house’, and I’m like ‘It’s not for sale.'” He also claimed that he rejected the $25 million offer back in the day. But the reason for selling the house was very personal, as previously the entire family used to stay in Orlando. But after the separation from Shaunie, the mansion felt quite Big for a single person.
