Dwyane Wade has been living the life ever since he got inducted into the Hall of Fame. The 3x NBA champion is currently busy promoting his brand Way of Wade in China along with endorsers D’Angelo Russell, Udonis Haslem, and his son Zaire Wade. However, one of the brand’s biggest attractions, Jimmy Butler, has been MIA. Wade and Miami’s current main man get along quite well. The recently inducted Hall of Famer is quite often seen courtside to support the 6x All-Star. But Wade didn’t hold back as he dissed the 33-year-old during an event.

The Jimmy Butler-led Miami Heat reached their second Finals in four years only to get dominated by the Denver Nuggets. Nonetheless, the former Chicago Bulls star earned a lot of plaudits for his stunning performances in the postseason. But when it comes to Wade, there don’t seem to be many boundaries between the two.

Dwyane Wade probably took inspiration from the legendary Michael Jordan to begin his very own sneaker brand. The Flash‘s Way of Wade is currently on a promotional tour in China. Many major NBA stars enjoy a massive fan following in China and it was no different for The Flash as hundreds came to see him in action.

When he was elaborating on a basketball technique, he subtly threw some shade at his buddy. Wade said, “Get these shoes outta here. Get these Jimmy Butler ones outta here.” The 13x All-Star didn’t want to see Butler’s sneakers overshadowing his own. Butler, just like Wade, signed a deal with the Chinese brand Li Ning after leaving Michael Jordan’s Jordan brand.

The diss didn’t come as any surprise since the former teammates share that kind of a relationship. Previously Butler also made some comments that might have not gone down well with the 41-year-old.

Dwyane Wade gets his revenge

Jimmy Butler, while talking to a bunch of people, was asked who was the toughest player that he had to guard. He made it clear that Wade, in his prime, was a tough man to beat. Butler lauded Wade and expressed his liking towards the greatest Miami Heat player but in the end said, “Whenever I had to play against Dwyane Wade, he was absolutely the hardest person to guard… You couldn’t touch him because he was a superstar. D-Wade was tough. Now he’s old and washed up.” He made sure to poke fun at him in the end.
