NBA Legend Paul Pierce has a very competitive personality. Let’s just say that he isn’t the friendliest sportsperson out there. The Hall of Famer is known to be vocal about his self-worth. Recently, Pierce placed himself on a pedestal with another NBA player and made a bold claim and comparison. The subject of his harsh take was former Miami Heat star, Dwyane Wade.

Only a few days after Lakers legend Shaquille O’Neal sided with Pierce in an argument, The Truth brings up Shaq’s name in another argument to make a point.

Shaquille O’Neal approves Pierce’s previous remarks

Recently, Paul Pierce sat down for an interview with the talk show ‘It Is What It Is’. During the segment, Pierce was asked if he feels he is better than Dwyane Wade. Pierce assured the interviewers that he can easily shoot a three, he can post up and he can get through the line better than The Flash. According to him, he is a better scorer than Dwyane Wade.

The former Boston Celtics player would go on to make the claim that anyone on the same team as Shaquille O’Neal, LeBron James and Chris Bosh will be able to qualify as a good player. This claim was made from the fact during his time with the Heat, Wade has been teammates with all three players at some point.

The part of the interview where Pierce discusses the above points was recently posted on Instagram.

The same post was later shared by Shaquille O’Neal on his Instagram story to his 31.5 Million followers. While it helps to promote Pierce’s point, it also acts as a snub to his former teammate.

Paul Pierce hits back at a Twitter user

Mere days after Pierce gave the interview, he took to Twitter and responded to a tweet that has garnered over 1.1 Million Views as of now.

Replying to the interview, a Twitter user posted a screenshot of a team roster. It showed Shaq and Pierce being on the same NBA team at a certain point in time. Hutchinson wrote a caption along with the screenshot which said “This you @paulpierce34?”

The tweet got the attention of the 10x NBA All-Star. He replied, “Yep that me playing with Shaq what was our record before Big fella got hurt . Do ya research.”

The duo of Shaq and Pierce did play together during the 2010-11 season. However, Big Diesel missed 27 games and the playoffs due to problems with his feet.

Soon after that, Shaq retired from professional basketball forever.
