Dwight Howard is curious! And so are the 170 million U.S. users who love and use TikTok. The social media platform that allows users to create and share short, engaging TikTok videos online might have to face a ban in the nation. But it seems that even before the fate of the app is decided, NBA legend Dwight Howard has lost hope. He is up on social media seeking views on enticing alternatives to the app.

“Tiktok users going to remote or lemon8 👀” Howard wrote on X which is owned by Musk. He asked whether netizens were turning to alternatives or going remote. However, there’s still a chance to save the app from being banned if the rumors about Elon Musk are true. According to the rumors, Musk might be considering buying the U.S. operations.

This would allow the app to keep working in the U.S. as per the latest law signed by President Joe Biden. As per an article by Forbes, it is claimed that TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, would likely demand close to $40 billion to $50 billion for U.S. operations.

The partnership is extremely advantageous for Musk. And it is even more important since the billionaire owns X, formerly called Twitter. It is said that he paid nearly $44 billion to buy X. Is he buying TikTok as well? Perhaps not. ByteDance recently dropped the news that any such reports making such claims are “fiction.”
