I’m fully transparent with who I am, and you know what I’ve been through. So I’ve had plaque psoriasis for more than 10 years, which is, like you know, the flaky patches on your skin. I get it like behind my ears, my eyebrows a lot.” La La Anthony spoke to Radio and TV personality Jazmyn Summers about various topics, including being the voice to raise awareness about the auto-immune illness. “The more I realize, so many people suffer from the same thing and like feel unconfident or feel like they have to hide.”

As per the National Psoriasis Foundation, close to 7.5 million to 8 million US adults suffer from Plaque Psoriasis. That’s why the BMF star has been an active voice so that more people understand through her experience. Helping her on this journey is Amgen Bio-Tech, with whom she has collaborated in the past.

So I partnered with Amgen, and we did a great great partnership, and it’s really about just setting the tone the conversation and educating people on what it is.” La La Anthony also spoke about an interactive video ad entitled ‘Moments With La La’, which helped more. “I talk about my experience, and people can really you know ask questions. Also, the goal is just to get people to talk to their doctor and find out what works best for them.”

The former VJ opened up about the area where the disease flared up the most. La La Anthony received the best advice to continue to be a voice

In partnership with Amgen Bio-Tech, The Chi star gave an update about her medication. “La la was compensated by Amgen. She is not currently on medication.” This autoimmune condition can be very painful, forming red, scaly patches on any part of the skin, including the eyebrows and legs. But La La Anthony was never ashamed of sharing her story.

“The thing I’ve taken from [Kim] is not to be afraid of it, not to be ashamed of it,” The BMF star spoke to People in 2015. “It’s something that we have; it doesn’t make us any less human, or weird or freaky. It’s about being open with what we have and being open with other people who are suffering from the same thing. If I was to take anything from her it would be that: to not be ashamed of it.”

Kim Kardashian had previously spoken about how her hectic lifestyle played a major role in her psoriasis condition. For La La Anthony, it was “Stress is definitely one of those [triggers], but for me it’s when I get really excited.” Since this lifestyle is what everybody is following, speaking about the disease became more apparent for Anthony.
