Charles Barkley wins hearts with the donation
Barkley has publicly revealed several times he wanted to run for governor back in the 2000s. However, a decade later, the 1993 MVP made it clear he was not interested in the role anymore. His recent $5 million donation to his alma mater, the University of Auburn, revived the ‘Governor’ talks.
As per reports, in a move to ensure diversity in Auburn, Barkley made this huge donation to provide scholarships for African American students. However, this promising side led to wrong assumptions which Smith did not like.
