If you have missed Richard Jefferson and JJ Redick‘s hilarious banter, then you are in for a treat. Notably, the ‘Road Trippin’ crew—Jefferson, Channing Frye, and Allie Clifton—announced earlier this week that they will join forces with JJ Redick co-founded ‘ThreeFourTwo Productions’. Now, Jefferson appeared with Redick in another announcement video of sorts. And the two already seem to be hitting it off with their new partnership.
Appearing in the video, Jefferson states, in good humor, that Redick begged the 43-year-old to join forces with him. “Look, JJ, when you asked me to do this, and it was the first time I’ve ever seen you grovel. It was the first time I’ve ever seen you beg and plead,” Jefferson said. He hilariously mentioned that there is something satisfactory about being approached by a person as accomplished and intelligent as JJ. The 43-year-old further stated it was just something else “to see the desperation” in Redick’s eyes.

However, the funniest aspect of this entire thing was JJ Redick’s expression on Jefferson stating ‘Road Trippin’ to be the obvious first athlete podcast. Notably, it is said that Redick was the first active NBA athlete to come up with a purely basketball-centric podcast. Even the former Orlando Magic star has himself claimed this on some occasions. And Jefferson taking away this claim for his own podcast is nothing but hilarious. However, on a more serious note, both Redick and Jefferson expressed their excitement for this new partnership.

What does the partnership between JJ Redick and Richard Jefferson mean for the future?
It is worth mentioning that earlier the ‘Blue Wire Umbrella’ published Jefferson’s ‘Road Trippin’ podcast. So the major development that comes out of this new partnership will be the show being produced under ‘ThreeFourTwo Productions’. Apart from this, JJ Redick also shared some other developments that will come out of this partnership.
“Richard will also be on all ‘The Old Man and the Three’ content under that umbrella. And we’re going to be doing some other shows together under the ThreeFourTwo umbrella as well,” said the former Orlando Magic star. Meanwhile, Jefferson had another hilarious show idea for the production—top 5 hottest men in the NBA.
