The days of athletes restricting themselves to their sport are over. Today, more and more superstars are taking on different roles once their playing careers are over. While most gravitate towards the business side, some move to a more entertainment-heavy approach. As a result, the music industry has been the biggest benefactor with many athletes putting on that hat. However, Shaquille O’Neal might be the biggest name to make that change, taking over the industry with his DJ Diesel avatar.

However, according to one former NFL star, the Los Angeles Lakers legend’s rapping career is far below his. Adam “Pac-Mac” Jones, infamous for the airport controversy as it is now famous for, had some choice words for other athletes entering the musical space. “I don’t wanna toot my own horn. But…I’m willing to challenge anybody.”

Specifically, however, he would call out the 4x NBA Champion. “They say Shaq is the best. But, bar-for-bar. Shaq can’t f**k with me.” The other name, he would give the “can’t f**k with me” treatment to was one from his sport – Antonio Brown.

His reasoning, too, is simple. “I write all my own s**t…But what I’m saying is, put me and him in a studio, give us an hour, and see who come out with the best s**t.” With the challenge officially made, will either of AB or the Miami Heat legend take the bait?

Adam Jones’ comments, however, are far different from a man he once defended.

Shaquille O’Neal defends Pac-Man’s airport antics

At a time when the news spread like wildfire, Pac-Man had swung at and brutally beaten up a guy at an airport. However, the exact details of the situation did not come out to the public until much later. Thanks to the Hall of Famer’s appearance on the Pat McAfee show, the situation came to light.

In a bid to protect and stand up for Diesel, Jones had taken out the guy trash-talking the big man. Immediately, Shaq was overwhelmed and thanked Jones for sticking up for him. The entire situation had been a secret up to that point, so everyone was rightfully shocked.
