LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony, and Dwyane Wade had one dream which was to be an NBA dad. And King James finally gets to realize it. His son Bronny James made history by joining the Lakers. It is an emotional moment for almost everyone who is somehow related to the basketball scene. Former NBA player Charles Oakley detailed an important factor about the father-son playing in the same league for the first time.

The NBA legend explained how the league isn’t easy to deal with for the players. And LeBron’s presence alongside Bronny will only guide him. Coming to the NBA it’s not easy and I think he knows that but my main thing you get someone like that… who played so many games but I think that being around his dad and seeing how stuff go and you look at the NBA how many fathers and how many kids who came to the league and did great because they going to get it the household,” Oakley said.

As the legend pointed out, this is something rare and will be advantageous for the 19-year-old. While the Los Angeles Lakers have acquired Bronny James, we are uncertain whether we’ll witness the father-son duo play together until LeBron confirms his position. But along with the guidance Bronny will receive from LeBron himself, young James will also have the guidance of the Lakers HC JJ Redick.

Along with the good and hearty wishes, LeBron has also been criticized for nepotism. Many on social media claimed that other players were more deserving than Bronny. But LeBron’s former teammate Dwayne Wade was among those who took a stand for the Lakers legend and his 19-year-old son.

None of them can beat him in basketball. So you can’t listen to that. We all root for him and we all block out the comments for him,” Wade said during his latest interview with host Craig Melvin on Today Show. He further argued that the netizens criticizing Bronny have not seen the efforts he puts in.

Wade emphasized that Bronny dreamt of playing at the highest level in the league and put in his maximum effort to achieve it. Everyone aware of Bronny’s efforts supports and roots for him.
