Chris Paul has a 3-17 record when the match is refereed by Scott Foster. After his recent loss, Paul called out Foster yet again and said that it was personal between them.

During a recent episode of Run It Back, one of the hosts asked NBA legend Vince Carter what he thought of the incident. Carter agreed with Paul’s concerns and reiterated it. Carter said, “We know it’s personal, I feel like every time you see them together, you expect a Chris Paul loss.”

Even Chris Paul has revealed that the issues between them started over something that is related to his son. So it is true that things are personal between the two.

Vince Carter went further into his own issues with referees during his time. He also added that when a referee is going back and forth with a player, they should not be using their power to send the player off the court.

Some former players said that because of the issues that have happened till now, it is a disservice to the sport to have Foster as a referee with Chris Paul, as it can affect both teams playing in the match. Foster can either cause trouble for Paul, or he can try to change the narrative and give favorable calls to Paul and hinder things for another team. Thus, the best option seems to be to completely separate the two parties from being on the court at the same time.
